Ping Precision Auto Glass is locally owned and operated by David Ping — a Columbus, Indiana native with over 7 years in the auto glass industry. From a young age David had a passion for working on cars, and that hasn't changed.
What sets Ping Precision apart is simple — we take our time, use quality materials, and don't settle. Every car that comes into our shop leaves better than it arrived. Not because it's a slogan, but because we don't hand a car back until it's right.

OEM or OEM-equivalent glass ordered specifically for your vehicle's year, make, and model — including embedded sensors, coatings, or cameras.
Your appointment slot belongs entirely to you. Proper prep, correct urethane bead, right cure time — no distractions, no rush, no shortcuts.
ADAS recalibration performed as needed in partnership with Voelz Body Shop — your safety systems calibrated correctly before you leave. Glass cleaned, all trim and parts reinstalled exactly as they came off, seal verified, and a precision cleanup. We don't hand a car back until it's right.

All customers with scheduled appointments drop off their vehicle at our shop. Drop off the evening before your appointment and pick up when the work is done — we'll keep you updated throughout.

Common Questions
Is windshield replacement covered?
Most comprehensive policies cover windshield replacement fully or with a low deductible. Chip repair is often covered at 100% with no deductible at all.
Will it raise my rates?
In most cases, filing a comprehensive glass claim does not affect your premium. It is not considered an at-fault claim.
Do I need a claim number first?
Not necessarily — contact us first and we can help you determine whether to file and walk you through starting the claim process.
Does my insurance pay the full amount?
We do our best to keep the process simple, but some insurers don't pay the full amount. When that happens, any remaining balance is the customer's responsibility — we'll always be upfront with you about what your insurance is covering before work begins.

Leave your vehicle's windows cracked open approximately 1 inch for 24 hours after installation to relieve air pressure. Avoid washing your vehicle for 48 hours. Retention tape applied during installation should be removed after 24 hours but no later than 48 hours unless otherwise instructed.
Ping Precision Auto Glass cannot be held responsible for any paint peeling or damage resulting from defective paint. We strongly recommend avoiding driving your vehicle until the adhesive reaches the strength required to meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards for windshield retention. This adhesive is engineered to meet those standards in the event of a collision or rollover — until it reaches sufficient strength, the windshield may not stay securely in place during a collision.
We use 1-hour SDAT (Safe Drive Away Time) urethane on every installation. Your specific SDAT may vary based on airbag presence, adhesive type, and temperature/humidity at time of install. You will be informed of the recommended drive-away time before leaving.
Despite our efforts to vacuum your vehicle of previously broken glass, there may still be glass particles that are not visible or accessible during cleanup. Take necessary precautions. Ping Precision Auto Glass is not responsible for additional cleanup and will not be liable for incidental or consequential damages.
All automotive glass installed by Ping Precision Auto Glass is covered against defects in material and workmanship for as long as you own the vehicle. For truck sliding back glass and other movable units, a manufacturer's warranty typically covers defects in material and workmanship for one year from the installation date, as per the invoice.
For dealer and replacement parts including mechanical and electrical components such as window lift assemblies, wiper assemblies, motors, switches, and sensors — the manufacturer's warranty covers defects only. Any such defects must be reported to Ping Precision Auto Glass. Original receipt is required for all warranty claims.
In the event of a warranty claim, you will be notified of a diagnostic labor charge to determine the source of leakage, noise, failed components, or other reported issues.
If the diagnostic confirms the claim results from defective material, workmanship, or a covered component — Ping Precision Auto Glass will waive the diagnostic fee and make reasonable efforts to repair your vehicle at no additional cost.
If the diagnostic determines Ping Precision Auto Glass is not responsible for the issue, you will be charged the diagnostic fee and provided with options and costs for repair, including any additional labor required to replace or repair missing, damaged, or failed components.
You are not obligated to choose Ping Precision Auto Glass for non-warranty repair work and are welcome to use the diagnostic invoice with any repair shop of your choice. Note that the chosen repair shop is not obligated to accept our diagnostic and may have its own requirements.
This warranty does not cover damage to glass or parts due to theft, fire, vandalism, negligent conduct, accidents, natural disasters, acts of God, rock chips, or any damage not related to defective workmanship or materials. Under no circumstances will Ping Precision Auto Glass be liable for incidental or consequential damages.
Third-Party Repairs — WARRANTY NULL AND VOID: If repairs or replacements are performed on the glass by another company without prior written notification to Ping Precision Auto Glass, the warranty is immediately null and void. Ping Precision Auto Glass will not be responsible for any payments made by another company for repairs or replacements without prior authorization.
This Limited Warranty does not cover used glass or parts of any kind.
Leakage, stress cracks, or related damage arising from installations on vehicles with existing rust on the pinch weld, body panels, or adjacent components are not covered under this warranty.
Ping Precision Auto Glass will make reasonable efforts to identify rust or damaged parts before removing existing glass or components. If rust or damage is not visible during initial inspection and is discovered once work begins, you will be promptly notified before work continues. You will receive options and costs for repair including any additional labor charges.
Major rust or damage that prevents safe installation must be repaired by a qualified auto body or repair facility first. You will be responsible for all costs to have your vehicle properly repaired before Ping Precision Auto Glass can continue. Once repairs are complete, contact us to schedule a work resumption appointment — balance payment will be due upon completion of services.
Ping Precision Auto Glass retains the right to offer varying discounts for different customer accounts and insurance companies. All charges are C.O.D. unless prior written credit approval has been obtained. A 20% handling charge is applicable to returned or canceled items. Special order parts require a deposit.
Please avoid leaving valuables in your vehicle. Ping Precision Auto Glass will not be responsible for lost or damaged items left inside during the course of glass repair or cleanup. Moldings, gaskets, clips, weather strips, sensors, mechanical or electrical components, and others are considered separate and additional charges if required for installation.
